IPhone scandal?

Looking into an iphone

In just a matter of days, it seems as if Apple are sorry for getting caught in something which could be referred to as a 'scandal'. I was reading an article posted by the BBC a while ago and it seems they are facing a lawsuit over the fact that they were slowing down older models in an attempt to motivate users to purchase newer models which were available for sale.

In a statement which was posted on the company's website, the firm said it would reduce the price of an out-of-warranty battery replacement from $79 to $29 in the US for anyone with an iPhone 6 or later. In the UK the prices will drop from £79 to £25.

Now I am very sure in saying that the company probably look like a sad case for doing what they did. I spoke to a few Apple iPhone users who i know have been using Apple products for a very long time and have said that they felt 'betrayed'. Being a customer with a company for so long just to find out that they were indirectly being robbed for money which they had worked hard for.

I feel for IPhone users as it is a pretty low act that the company have undertaken in order to raise their profits. It was pretty unethical and i do not see why any more action is not being taken against them. It just seems as if the more you read about the company, the more you find out about their security issues and other problems facing their popular products.

Have an opinion? Any comments to share?

Don't hesitate at all to drop me an e-mail, I'm sure there are some interesting things people have to say and I'd love to hear it.
